High-level overview of the process I invented to make fundable decks

1. Questionnaire

  • You fill in a questionnaire which only asks important questions to surface what’s unique about your startup
  • This enables you to consider your business deeply without the pressure of me on the phone with you

2. Narrative creation and slide mapping

  • I construct a narrative for your pitch based on a questionnaire
  • We get on a call and finesse till you feel comfortable pitching it in your voice and style
  • We do not move on till you say "Alex, this is what I want my pitch deck to say!"

3. Full deck mapping

  • Based on your stage, traction, expansion plans etc, we map out your entire deck together
  • We cover only what you need to communicate with investors to get a meeting
  • This provides you absolute certainty how much work needs to be done. If we map out 22 slides, there are 22 home-work tasks to complete till this nightmare is over!

4. Slide population

  • Each slide makes one key point. I help you figure out the most intelligent way to prove a statement, ideally supported with data (which makes you credible in any claim, not "trust me")
  • A researcher will support finding some charts, data points etc. if needed, but you need to do your homework to answer VC questions
  • You simply cannot have someone "just do your deck for you" and get a fab outcome

5. Leverage templates and examples

  • We use my library of templates slide structures to quickly map content
  • I have invented new approaches to market sizing, financials, presenting revenue etc we will utilise
  • In addition, I have hundreds of examples of pitch decks to be inspired from

6. Knowledge repository

  • You are provided with a Notion document which guides you through the process
  • I've written a 270k word course on everything you ever need to know about pitch decks and the slides. You can draw on this knowledge and read about every topic (if you want of course!)

7. Coaching

  • During the process I'll be making jokes and take breaks to teach you advanced concepts in fundraising
  • At the end of the deck process, I will spend some time with you going through next steps, so you understand how to reach out to investors the right way, how you will pitch, follow up, negotiate valuation, and anything you are stressed out about

  • When you have provided all the information, your deck will be finalized in 4 hours
  • Once you are happy with the deck, we will go through slide by slide, critique, wordsmith, add extra data points, and ensure everything is investment banking level perfect
